We remember our former Director, Rev. Fr. Simon Raj with much gratitude for his visionary leadership and guidance during the past eight years, that has constantly taken SPIPS to greater heights. We wish and pray that God accompany Fr. Simon Raj in his new ministry as well.
My returning to SPIPS, after a gap of eight years, feels like a ‘home-coming’, and I am happy to be once again a part of this amazing journey of SPIPS. We began this college with a great vision, of wanting to be a college with a difference, and I am proud as well as glad that it is the same vision that all of us have worked hard to uphold and commit ourselves to continue to realise. The firm conviction that, our vision of transforming young students into persons driven by the desire for academic excellence and value-based lifestyle who will contribute to the growth of our society, progress of our country and the world at large, is still our driving force.
My affectionate invitation to our energetic young students is that they absorb this great vision and make it their own. Academic excellence demands that we commit ourselves to go through the academic rigours. We often hear great people tell us that ‘the pen is stronger than the sword’, meaning to say that, knowledge is power, and those who commit themselves to acquiring knowledge in a disciplined and systematic manner will finally emerge victorious, whose calibre the world will be compelled to acknowledge and bow down to.
Therefore, we desire that each and everystudent of SPIPS loves knowledge and commits themselves to acquiring knowledge in a disciplined and systematic manner. Attending the classes regularly is a necessary pre-requisite for acquiring knowledge in a disciplined and systematic manner.
Today, we often hear that the industry leaders lament that the young students passing out from the Institutions of Higher Education are not industry-ready. They mean to say that the young students of today do not possess the skills necessary for them to be absorbed in to the industries. Here, at SPIPS, we are committed to focusing our energies on makingour students not only knowledgeable, but also skilful. We appreciate the tremendous push our government gives through the various programmes and schemes under its Skills Development Initiatives. We organize many programmes for our students in order to upskill them and equip them to be industry-ready. We would invite our students to participate whole-heartedly in these programmes and emerge industry-ready.
It is indeed a joy to see the hard-work and commitment of Sister Principal and the Faculty put in, in order to provide a perfect learning environment for our students. We wish that our students take advantage of the brains and facilities available at SPIPS in order to equip themselves to emerge knowledgeable young people, industry ready leaders, and disciplined and dignified human persons who are ready to contribute their share to the society which has given them much.
May God bless all our efforts!
